Our family is passionate about new home building and creating the best experience for our homeowners. When we were younger we would often spend time at the office on the weekend, playing together while our dad's worked and as we got older we all held positions on the job site or in the sales centers. Our grandfather and fathers' business values were passed down at every turn in our lives. We are honoured to have the opportunity to carry on their legacy. Our goal is to make them proud in every new home we build as we continue to grow the family business.
"How True: How True:
It's unwise to pay too much, but it's unwise to pay too little. When you pay too much you lose a little money, that is all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing you bought it to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it's well to add something for the risk you run. And if you do that, you will have enough to pay for something better." - John Ruskin
(The saying on the back of Ace's business card)
Ace received his carpenters ticket in 1954, and a few years later he moved with his family to Edmonton. In 1957 Ace built his first home for his family in Allendale.
In 1963, with the help of his wife Evelyn, Ace incorporated the business that would go on to make his name synonymous with quality homes.
Ace’s passion for quality homebuilding paid off, Ace Lange Homes became a premier home builder in Edmonton. Through the 70s Ace would buy entire cul-de-sacs in areas such as Erminskin and Duggan and closely oversee the construction of his homes.
In the late 1970s, Ace's sons, Cal and Gord joined the company. Little did they know their toughest challenge as a company and family was right around the corner. In 1981, Alberta's new home market crashed. The family needed to rely on the strong reputation and relationships Ace had created in Edmonton, Cal’s marketing creativity and Gord’s fiscal planning to make it through this time. The lessons learned from that period will forever be a part of Ace Lange Homes.
We are very protective of our future. We respect the value of our customers' dollar, we maintain positive relationships with our trades and we are forever grateful for the opportunity to have a piece of the Edmonton home building market.
As Ace Lange Homes continues to evolve over time, Ace's values of honesty, quality and service are always constant and the heart of our business.
As Ace's grandchildren, we, (Kristy, Kevin, Erin and Jill) are determined to keep the name Ace Lange Homes synonymous with quality building.
In every home we build we honour our grandfather's legacy and the hard work and foresight of our fathers. We look forward to building with you for generations to come."
